Shaft Lining

SHAFT LINING IS A DIFFICULT, EXPENSIVE AND OFTEN DANGEROUS PROCESS.

Remote Controlled shotcreting is an effective, economic and fast option and with the introduction of our state of the art rig safety is assured.

RIX Shaft Lining was launched in 2006 after 2 years of in house design and then contraction of a purpose built state of the art remote controlled shotcrete shaft liner. Safety was paramount in our design process and previous practices of manual handling and placing men over shafts has been eliminated when operating our market leading rig.

Full video imaging is available before, during and after our lining works are completed. The rig and video can also be used for shaft site inspections.

Our first contract was at Endeavor Mine in Cobar NSW. The site contact there is Graham Taylor (0447) 407 855 or (02) 6830 2555.

This shaft was underground, about 7Km down the decline from the portal, (at about 1000 meters from the surface) and was 120 meters deep and 4.5 m diameter.

Our shaft lining rig was displayed at the recent Goldfields Mining Expo in Kalgoorlie.
