RIX appointed by Acciona

The RIX Group is pleased to announce its appointment by ACCIONA Australia to provide services for the Western Harbour Tunnel, Package 2: WHT Tunnels and Mechanical and Electrical Fitout on behalf of Transport for NSW.

RIX have successfully been awarded the piling scope for the Falcon Street exit which requires the installation of 253 piles that are 900 millimetres in diameter and on average 6 metres deep.

These piles will form the retaining walls required for the exit from the Western Harbour Tunnel at North Sydney. The Western Harbour Tunnel will be Sydney’s third harbour road crossing.

The RIX Group mobilised to site on 29 August 2023 and look forward to working with ACCIONA Australia on this iconic Australian infrastructure project.
