RIX have delivered some of the most challenging Road Corridor and Rail Cutting stabilisation projects meeting client quality and program requirements. 

 

EMBANKMENT STABILISATION - ROAD CORRIDORS

All plant and personnel for the work which included:
 
  • stabilisation of the existing road prior to construction of a new earth retaining wall
  • drilling
  • shotcrete application

were sourced and undertaken in house. To assist the Client in meeting program constraints, RIX established within 1 week of contract award working on three separate faces at one time. All works were completed to high Client specification and BMD satisfaction.

EMBANKMENT STABILISATION - RAILWAY CUTTINGS

 
RIX have Queensland Rail, ARTC and RailCorp inducted trained personnel. RIX have a proven record as the market leader delivering stabilisation solutions in and out of track possession. Many thousands of square metres of soil nailed and meshed faces have been sprayed during weekend shutdowns

Design:                            Various Walls - Hit and Miss panels to batters, soil nail
                                           walls and 200mm thick walls over piled retained sections

Walls were constructed to this new rail section over 12 months and were completed in top down construction as well as up to 6m high on batters making finished walls challenging.
